picture elements
Images that are "digitized" for a computer are actually a series of small picture elements called pixels. Generally, the higher the pixel count the more detail that is captured.

More important, but less understood, is the ability to scan or capture a specific color and reproduce it exactly. Since all colors in a computer, are defined mathematically, the scanner, computer and printer must be controlled so they all "understand" the same color. The scanner may correctly capture the color as a bright red, yet the computer may interpret the color as having a tint of blue so when it is printed, it does not match the original.

Sarazen Editions incorporates a sophisticated system of Color Management which insures color consistency from scanner, to computer, to printer. Taking the guesswork out of achieving great color makes for a great print.
